Our Mission
The Agnes Y. Humphrey School for Leadership is a collaborative school community working to develop a caring, nurturing and rigorous academic environment.
Learning is our focus-learning to lead, learning to create, learning to reflect and learning to contribute--for our world and the surrounding Red Hook/South Brooklyn community. In a unique Upper/Lower School model, administrators, teachers, staff and volunteers come together daily to create a circle of support for each of our students. We are united by our common mission: to instill in students the habit of lifelong learning and independent inquiry. As we encourage our children and young people to become expeditionary learners, we celebrate each one as a rare and precious gift to the future. Guided by our intensive determination, we invite creativity and humor throughout our common journey. We are a resilient educational community that is building the school of our dreams.
